A morbid day

The streets were packed with cars,

People thronged the crowded bazaars,

The children were having a rollicking outing,

Could anyone have imagined the sheer timing?

A thud sound indicated another terrorist attack,

Chaos ensued and people changed their track,

Shrapnels pierced through young Charu s face,

No one seemed to empathize with her unfortunate case,

The denizens of Delhi were in grief,

While the perpetrator cheered with a sigh of relief.

Everyone mourned, especially families of the deceased.

Does our world lack love and peace?

Questions galore were floating in the air.

Ministers debated- their most notorious flair.

I always knew that destiny is ineluctable.

But did innocent Charu really deserve a victim label?
